Founded in its current form from the merger of Stoneham Secondary School for Boys and Westwood Girls School in 1985, the school offers comprehensive education for students aged 11 to 18 with approximately 1,200 students. King's Academy Prospect is part of the King's Group Academies trust.
The school provides a well-rounded and differentiated curriculum with mixed ability teaching in the majority of subjects. It is also equipped with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) resources, including the Bridge Resource Unit for students with moderate learning difficulties and other complex needs.
