Birkdale High School is performing well, maintaining its status as a good school since its last inspection in 2013. Pupils enjoy a supportive and cohesive environment, demonstrating good behavior and strong engagement in their learning. Leaders and trustees have established an ambitious curriculum that accommodates all students, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), and a range of enrichment activities, particularly popular among pupils. However, there are areas for growth, particularly in key stage 3, where a few subjects have curriculum designs that do not sufficiently deepen pupils' knowledge of essential concepts.
