The Grange School has made significant improvements since its previous inadequate inspection, achieving a good level of performance across all evaluated areas. The effective leadership from the head of school and the executive headteacher has fostered a culture of high expectations among teachers and students alike. The supportive atmosphere and consistent application of behaviour management strategies have contributed to positive relationships and a respectful learning environment, where pupils generally feel safe and valued. Parents have noted these improvements, reflecting an enhanced sense of community within the school. Despite these strengths, there are notable areas for enhancement. A minority of subjects have identified gaps in pupil knowledge due to their recent reintroduction into the curriculum. Furthermore, while progress in reading and personal development is evident, not all students possess confidence in applying mathematical skills across subjects, and attendance issues persist for some disadvantaged pupils, affecting their overall learning experience. Leaders are aware of these challenges and are actively working to address them.
