Monkleigh Primary School continues to perform well as a good school, demonstrating a solid commitment to the success and well-being of its pupils. The school has strong community ties, with both pupils and parents expressing pride in being part of the school family. Relationships between staff and students are nurturing, enhancing the overall learning environment. The school excels in its broad and ambitious curriculum, particularly in early years where pupils are given a strong foundation in their education, fostering curiosity and a love for learning. Despite these strengths, some areas need attention, particularly in consistent assessment practices and behavior management. While many pupils show positive attitudes and engagement in learning, there are instances where staff expectations regarding behavior could be higher. This has led to some loss of learning time. Overall, while the school is maintaining its good status, addressing these concerns will be crucial for its continued success and to fully support all pupils, especially those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
