Consett Junior School continues to perform well, maintaining its status as a good school with a supportive and nurturing environment. The strong relationships between staff and students contribute to high levels of enthusiasm and engagement in learning. While leaders are committed to providing a rich educational experience, including a strong emphasis on physical education and music, there are inconsistencies in teaching practices for reading comprehension and mathematical reasoning that need to be addressed to ensure all students make the best possible progress. This inspection marks the first since their last judgement in 2017.
