The Green Room School

The Green Room School is a small special school for pupils with education, health and care plans, most of whom have autism and have previously been out of education or unable to attend mainstream school. Inspectors found the school to be exceptionally inclusive, with highly effective transition processes and a deep understanding of each pupil's needs. Personal development, wellbeing, and post-16 provision were all graded exceptional, with pupils making rapid progress from low starting points and moving on to apprenticeships, further education and careers. Teaching, curriculum, achievement, attendance, behaviour and leadership were all judged to be at a strong standard, and safeguarding standards are met.
