Castle Garden School

Castle Garden School is performing well, achieving a 'Good' rating in all areas of inspection. The school excels in providing a nurturing environment where pupils feel a sense of belonging and receive individual support tailored to their special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The curriculum is well-matched to pupils' needs, particularly in English and mathematics, with a strong focus on reading and practical learning experiences. Positive relationships between staff and pupils, along with effective behaviour management strategies, further contribute to a calm and purposeful learning atmosphere. However, as a newly established school, there are areas for improvement. Some subjects within the curriculum are still under development, and staff training related to new curriculum implementations has not yet been fully realized. Additionally, there is a need for better-defined leadership roles to enhance monitoring and oversight. Although overall effectiveness is strong, the school acknowledges the need for further growth in certain educational aspects and governance to ensure sustained improvement.
