The Calder Learning Trust encompasses the coeducational comprehensive school Calder High, located at Brier Hey Lane, HX7 5QN. Known as a specialist technology college, it is situated in the picturesque village of Mytholmroyd within the metropolitan district of Calderdale, Northern England. Founded in 1952 as one of the country's first comprehensives, Calder High has evolved from its roots as Hebden Bridge Grammar School to now educate pupils from ages 11 to 16 with an enrollment of 1,277.

The school's curriculum emphasizes technology, with dedicated rooms, and is federated with Calder Primary School, forming an all-through school educating children from the age of 4 to 16. The motto "Everybody, Everyday" encapsulates the school's commitment to inclusive education. On-campus facilities include a new Sixth Form building and a newly refurbished English teaching block, with the addition of a radio station, Royd FM, and a student-run business. The Ted Hughes theatre on campus is named in honor of the renowned poet and adds to the school's enriching school life.

The school takes pride in its alumni, which includes actors, professional athletes, and other notable individuals, such as Kirk Barker, Dario Coates, Stuart Fielden, Jessica Harris, Thomas Nelstrop, and Lindsay Rimer. The school maintains its focus on an active student community, with various activities that enhance leadership and entrepreneurship skills, including the annual performance of the Pace Egg Play. Although there have been debates about the potential rebuilding of the site, changes were made to add a new English teaching block, which required the decommissioning of the existing school car park in April 2019.

  • 3 more GCSE qualifications (including EBacc subjects) or technical awards from a list approved by the Department for Education
