All Hallows' CofE (VA) Primary School was inspected in January 2026 and judged to require special measures. This June 2026 monitoring inspection found that the school remains in special measures and is still not providing an acceptable standard of education. Safeguarding standards are met, and attendance and behaviour are at the expected standard: pupils attend in line with national averages, behave well, and benefit from a welcoming and caring environment. Pastoral support is a notable strength, including support for mental health and tailored help for pupils with SEND transitioning to secondary school. However, the school faces serious weaknesses. Achievement, curriculum and teaching, inclusion, and leadership and governance remain at urgent improvement. Too many pupils, especially disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND, do not achieve well and leave without the knowledge and skills they need for secondary school. Teaching does not consistently build knowledge, check understanding, or help pupils revisit prior learning, and support for disadvantaged pupils is ineffective. Early years and personal development also need attention, particularly the quality of adult interactions in Reception and pupils' limited understanding of British values and diversity. Leaders, including the new headteacher, now have a more accurate view of the school and clear priorities, but their actions are too recent to show impact. Governance remains weak: governors do not effectively check provision or meet their statutory duties. Staff feel supported and parents speak warmly about the school's care, but substantial and urgent improvement is still required.
