St Ives Junior School, previously rated 'Outstanding', is currently assessed as 'Requires Improvement'. The school has faced significant challenges over the years, including a long gap since its last inspection, during which it was exempt from routine evaluations. Recent efforts have been made to overhaul the curriculum, but the quality of education has not yet fully caught up to the high ambitions that have been established. While students enjoy a supportive environment and demonstrate positive attitudes, the effectiveness of teaching methods, particularly in reading and curriculum delivery, needs enhancement.
