Whalley Church of England Primary School continues to perform well, maintaining its good status. The nurturing environment fostered by staff has created a safe and happy atmosphere for pupils, who feel supported and understood. Pupils are meeting high expectations in their learning, and there is a strong emphasis on cultivating a love for reading, particularly through effective phonics instruction in the early years. Nonetheless, the school is currently refining its curriculum to enhance depth in various subjects beyond English and mathematics, in response to leadership's goal for improved pupil outcomes. Parents show considerable appreciation for the school, especially during the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
