The school has a caring, inclusive ethos, a well-sequenced curriculum, effective early reading and phonics, strong support for pupils with SEND and disadvantaged pupils, and a broad personal development offer. Overall absence and persistent absence remain above national averages, and disadvantaged pupils who persistently miss school are a particular focus. Leaders should continue to improve attendance for this group and maintain a rigorous focus on the performance of different groups of vulnerable pupils so they continue to achieve as well as possible from their starting points. Published outcomes in reading, writing and mathematics are broadly in line with national averages and have improved, with disadvantaged pupils also achieving in line with national averages. Leadership is well regarded, staff feel supported, and parents are overwhelmingly positive. The school's inclusive culture and extensive wider offer help pupils become confident, resilient and independent.
