Jamiatul-Ilm Wal-Huda UK School is an Islamic independent school for pupils aged 11 to 18, with a sixth form and Alimiyyah programme and adult students. All independent school standards and safeguarding standards are met. The school is led by a proprietor who is also the principal, and it is highly regarded in its community. Pupils benefit from notably high attendance, mature and courteous behaviour, strong pastoral care and a well-designed personal development programme. The curriculum is broad and ambitious, with religious and secular strands complementing each other, and post-16 students generally complete A-levels and religious studies successfully before moving on to university or professional routes. Governance is effective and leaders have addressed areas from the previous inspection. However, achievement is uneven across subjects and between GCSE and A-level. Teachers do not consistently use assessment information to adapt teaching for pupils who struggle or need deeper challenge, and information about pupils' additional needs is not always joined up, which limits the consistency of support. Leaders are aware of these issues and have action plans, but some improvements are taking longer because understanding of barriers to achievement, including SEND, is still developing.
