Sacred Heart Primary School is performing well overall, achieving a good rating in all areas assessed during its recent inspection. The leadership team is committed to continuous improvement and has established clear expectations and a broad, engaging curriculum. Pupils are motivated and confident, showing respect for one another and the staff. The school environment is nurturing and emphasizes the importance of reading, with many resources available to support literacy development. Additionally, the school effectively supports pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) through trained staff and external specialists. However, some challenges were identified in the implementation of the curriculum across various subjects, influenced partly by the pandemic. There is a need for enhanced consistency in applying the new behaviour policy to ensure all pupils are supported in managing their behaviour effectively. Although the school has made significant strides since the last inspection, ongoing training for staff in teaching strategies is recommended to ensure all pupils, especially those with SEND, can access learning fully and progress accordingly.
