The Blue Coat Church of England School, immersed in tradition since its inception in 1834, is situated in Oldham, Greater Manchester (OL1 3SQ). Founded by committed Anglican Thomas Henshaw, the blueprint of this school originally aimed to educate orphaned boys from the local parish. The school has since grown to become one of the most successful in the country, enrolling around 1,400 students aged 11-18 and boasts an extensive campus with modern classrooms alongside a Grade II listed building.

As a Church of England school, students of various Christian denominations and other faiths are welcomed. Religious beliefs and values are at the core of school life. The Blue Coat School prides itself on high-quality teaching and learning, exceptional pastoral care, consistently excellent examination results, and outstanding progress, as recognized by its most recent Ofsted inspection in 2011, where it received an outstanding rating in all categories.

During the course of a year, students at The Blue Coat CofE School have a range of options upon graduation, including university, employment or taking a gap year.
