The Beacon School is undergoing improvements under new leadership, which has successfully raised expectations and enhanced the school's values of 'excellence' and 'respect'. Although many pupils report that behavior is better and that they feel safe, there are ongoing issues with some students disrupting lessons and not fully engaging in learning. The foundation for further progress is set, but the curriculum is still being developed and is not consistently high-quality across all subjects. Current performance requires further work, particularly in the areas of behavior management and ensuring all pupils, especially those with special educational needs, achieve their potential.

- Maths
- 3 subjects from qualifications that count towards the English Baccalaureate (EBacc), like sciences, language and history
