All Hallows Catholic College is a strong school where pupils and sixth-form students thrive. Leaders have built a broad and ambitious curriculum, teaching generally presents new ideas clearly and checks understanding well, and pupils behave calmly and respectfully. Personal development and sixth-form provision are particular strengths: pupils take part in extensive charity, volunteering and enrichment opportunities, and sixth-form students receive exceptional academic and pastoral support and are well prepared for higher education and employment. The school has effective attendance monitoring and support, which has reduced persistent absence, and safeguarding arrangements are effective. The main area for improvement is support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities: while identification is accurate and many teachers adapt well, practice is inconsistent, so some pupils with SEND do not learn as well as they should. This was the school's first routine inspection since 2014, after a period of exemption and the COVID-19 pandemic. The school is part of Our Lady Help of Christians Trust, and inspectors found trust and school leaders share a clear understanding of the school's values and ethos.
