Reigate College

Reigate College is a large further education college in the Reigate Learning Alliance Multi-Academy Trust, with 2,945 students on education programmes for young people and 21 learners with high needs. In its April 2026 inspection, safeguarding standards were met, and all inspected areas reached a strong standard, including inclusion, leadership and governance, education programmes for young people, and provision for learners with high needs. Inspectors found no areas requiring urgent improvement or attention. Leaders have built a whole-college approach to inclusion, and students—including disadvantaged learners and those with high needs—make extensive progress and achieve well. Teaching is consistently high quality, the curriculum is well sequenced, and students are well prepared for higher education, work and positive destinations. Governance is effective, staff feel well supported, and students benefit from strong careers guidance, work experience, enrichment and wellbeing support. The main development point is for leaders to continue strengthening curriculum implementation across all areas so that teaching and training can reach and sustain exceptional standards. Overall, the college is performing strongly, with a positive culture, high expectations and effective support for students.
