Coombe Hill Infant School is a highly effective and caring school where pupils are excited to learn and achieve extremely well. Inspectors found outstanding provision across the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and early years. Pupils, including those with SEND, receive carefully targeted support, and the school's ambitious, well-sequenced curriculum helps them build knowledge and vocabulary securely over time. The school has a strong reading culture, with well-trained staff delivering phonics consistently and parents actively encouraged to support reading at home. Behaviour is exemplary, relationships are respectful, and pupils take leadership roles seriously. The wider development offer is rich and broad, preparing pupils very well for the next stage of their education. Staff are dedicated, professional development is strong, and governors provide effective oversight and challenge. Safeguarding arrangements are effective. Parents are overwhelmingly positive about the school and are highly involved in school life. This was a graded inspection, and under the arrangements for inspections from September 2024 the school did not receive an overall effectiveness grade. No areas for improvement were identified in the report.
