Wales Primary School continues to perform well, maintaining its status as a good school. Pupils feel safe and are well-supported by staff, adhering to the school's code of conduct. The school successfully fosters a respectful culture, encouraging pupils to take on leadership roles and engage with their community. The curriculum is strong in reading and mathematics, with pupils achieving above national averages in these areas. However, there are areas for development, particularly in early reading lessons where consistency needs improvement. While the school has implemented a well-established phonics scheme, not all staff have yet become proficient in teaching early reading effectively. The wider curriculum also requires refinement, as some intended learning is too broad, hindering younger pupils' retention of knowledge. Despite these concerns, staff are ambitious for all pupils and are committed to their independence and success in school, and there has been a noticeable improvement in attendance rates.
