Purley CofE Primary School continues to perform well, maintaining its status as a good school since the last inspection in December 2016. The school provides a caring and supportive environment, where pupils feel safe and happy. Staff have high expectations for both behavior and academic achievement, which cultivate a polite and courteous atmosphere among students. The school has implemented an ambitious curriculum that encourages pupils to excel across a variety of subjects, particularly in reading, where effective phonics training has been established for early learners. Enrichment activities also create positive engagement outside traditional classroom learning. However, there are some areas that need improvement, notably in the effective sequencing of knowledge in a few subjects, such as history. While the curriculum is strong in many areas, clear plans are needed in certain subjects to ensure that all students can build knowledge progressively and effectively. Overall, the school is well-regarded by its community and is dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment for all its pupils.
