Buttsbury Primary School is a large, caring and inclusive primary school that is performing strongly overall. Inspectors found pupils achieve highly across the curriculum, with statutory assessment outcomes consistently above national averages in reading, writing and mathematics, and disadvantaged pupils outperforming similar pupils nationally. Leadership and governance are rigorous, and trustees have an accurate understanding of the school’s performance. The main area for development is the early years.
