Thomas Jolyffe Primary School has maintained its overall rating of good during this ungraded inspection. However, the evidence suggests that the school's performance may not meet this standard in a graded inspection, as there are ongoing curriculum development needs and challenges with supporting pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). A new leadership team has recently been established, and while they are making significant changes and progress, further work is needed to enhance the quality of education provided to students. The school has a clear focus on improving its curriculum and promoting high expectations among pupils. Although there are positive elements, such as the commitment to personal development and opportunities for enrichment, issues remain around the coherence and effectiveness of the curriculum in certain subjects. Additionally, some pupils are not achieving their potential, particularly those with SEND who experience behavioral challenges that adversely affect their learning environment.
