Bidston Village CofE Primary School is a supportive and caring environment where pupils feel valued and engaged. Although the school has high expectations for achievement and offers good personal development and leadership, it has been graded as requiring improvement in the quality of education. This follows some recent changes to the curriculum, which are still in the early stages of implementation. Consequently, some pupils, particularly in key stages 1 and 2, have not achieved as well as they should. The effective early years provision, which includes strong support for children with special educational needs, showcases the potential for positive outcomes across the school.
