Nursteed Community Primary School is currently facing significant challenges in preparing its pupils for their next stages of education. This concern stems from weaknesses in the curriculum and teaching, resulting in pupils' attainment and progress falling below national averages, particularly in reading and mathematics. However, the school has taken robust measures to improve these areas, leading to recent improvements in pupils' fluency in reading and efforts to close the attainment gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers. Despite these efforts, the quality of education is still not meeting the expected standards consistently across all domains.
