Aylesford School Warwick is an all-through 4–18 school within a single academy trust. It was inspected in April 2025 following significant leadership and staffing changes, including a new headteacher appointed in March 2025. The school is judged good for quality of education, personal development, leadership and management, early years provision and sixth-form provision, while behaviour and attitudes requires improvement. Safeguarding arrangements are effective. Pupils are generally happy, feel safe and are included, with particularly positive provision in the early years, primary phase and sixth form. The school has reviewed and designed a highly ambitious curriculum for all pupils, including those with SEND, and has effective systems for identifying and supporting SEND and early reading. Personal development is well planned, extra-curricular opportunities are diverse, and sixth-form students contribute well by supporting younger pupils. However, improvements have not yet led to consistently improving key stage 4 outcomes. In the secondary phase, some pupils do not behave well enough, and staff do not always tackle poor or unkind behaviour consistently. Some teachers, especially in key stages 3 and 4, do not check pupils’ learning well enough and do not always adapt teaching to address misconceptions and gaps. Attendance is too low for some secondary pupils, although the school works effectively with families to improve it.
