Behaviour is typically calm and orderly, and suspensions have fallen significantly. The main areas for improvement are ensuring that teaching is consistently effective across all subjects, especially in how teachers check pupils' prior knowledge, and continuing to raise the attendance of disadvantaged pupils, which remains slightly below the national average. Disadvantaged pupils' outcomes are broadly in line with national averages in many subjects, but the school is rightly focused on improving further.
