Bath Academy

Bath Academy has been assessed as a good school, demonstrating effective teaching practices that facilitate strong student progress, particularly for those improving their English language skills. The curriculum is well-structured to prepare students for entry into UK universities, with ample support for both academic and personal development. Safety and welfare measures for students, both day and boarding, are robust, contributing to a positive learning environment characterized by high expectations and mutual respect among students and staff. Despite the overall positive findings, there are areas identified for improvement. The leadership team needs to enhance the systems for using lesson observation feedback to further develop teacher skills. Additionally, there is a need to expand ICT resources to support learning better, and to encourage students to apply their speaking skills across all subjects. Nonetheless, Bath Academy continues to provide a supportive and nurturing atmosphere that fosters student achievement.
