Tabor Academy is currently rated as requiring improvement, having faced challenges in several key educational areas. The acting co-headteachers, Kellyann Brown and Gregory Forster, have only recently taken on their roles, bringing fresh ambition and drive to the school. While the school fosters a welcoming environment where pupils feel safe and respected, the quality of education is inconsistent, particularly in terms of curriculum sequencing and the support for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The sixth-form provision has received praise for its consistency and effectiveness, allowing the majority of students to progress to university or suitable apprenticeships.

- English
- Maths
- 3 subjects from qualifications that count towards the English Baccalaureate (EBacc), like sciences, language and history
