Green End Primary School is a highly effective school where pupils achieve exceptionally well and are well prepared for the next stage of their learning. Inspectors found an exceptionally well-designed curriculum, very strong teaching and highly effective support for disadvantaged pupils, pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and pupils who speak English as an additional language. Reading and early years provision are particular strengths, and pupils’ behaviour, attendance and personal development are excellent. Relationships with families are strong, support for families is exceptional, and safeguarding arrangements are effective. This was the school’s first routine inspection since the COVID-19 pandemic and its first section 5 inspection since July 2015; it had been exempt from routine inspection until November 2020. The school is part of the Kingsway Community Trust, with Lisa Vyas as executive headteacher and Jeff Harriott as head of school. Under the current inspection framework, no overall effectiveness grade is awarded. Leaders, trustees and the local governing committee are described as relentless in their pursuit of excellence, and staff are proud to work at the school. The report identifies no areas for improvement; all key judgements were outstanding.
