Middleton Technology School continues to be rated as a good school after its recent ungraded inspection. However, evidence indicates that if a graded inspection were to be conducted now, the overall rating might not remain as high due to some areas of concern. The school is taking steps to address issues stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, including improving attendance and strengthening the curriculum, yet there remains a need for further work to ensure consistent delivery across all subjects. While many pupils find a sense of belonging and engage in various extracurricular activities, there are significant gaps in the academic performance of some students, particularly regarding reading support and curriculum delivery.
