This full inspection found safeguarding standards met and a school performing strongly in several areas: attendance and behaviour, inclusion, and pupils' personal development and wellbeing. Pupils are proud of their school, behave impeccably, attend regularly and benefit from highly effective provision for SEND and disadvantaged pupils. Reading and mathematics outcomes are above national averages, including for disadvantaged pupils, and pastoral care, enrichment and leadership opportunities are notable strengths. The main area for improvement is writing. Although pupils generally produce good work across the curriculum, writing achievement is not yet as strong as reading and mathematics; staff do not always spot or correct inaccuracies swiftly, and letter formation is sometimes not taught accurately from the outset, allowing misconceptions to become embedded. The writing curriculum is being strengthened to improve consistency. The early years also requires further refinement: the new nursery has made a positive start, but the curriculum needs clearer alignment across the EYFS for key knowledge and vocabulary, and staff expertise in high-quality interactions should continue to develop. Leadership and governance are effective. Leaders and governors share a clear trust vision, know the school well, and make decisions in pupils' best interests; staff feel valued and supported, and parents speak very positively. Overall, this is a strong, inclusive and caring school with excellent behaviour, attendance and personal development. The key priority is to sharpen the teaching of foundational writing skills and ensure early years curriculum consistency so that achievement in writing matches the school's strengths elsewhere.
