betaSt Joseph's Catholic High School is a co-educational Roman Catholic secondary school set in the heart of Workington, Cumbria, England. Founded in 1929, the institution has a long-standing history, operating on the same site while continuously enhancing its premises with renovations, which include additional blocks, an AstroTurf, a new library, a canteen extension, a building dedicated to English lessons, and modernized classrooms throughout the school. St Joseph's has a specialism in Business and Enterprise and is currently engaged in a Leading Edge program in Drama.
The school serves students ages 11 to 16. As of the latest information, enrollment is around 710 students. Its building comprises several distinct blocks including a four-storey structure accommodating Science, History and Geography classrooms, along with offices. The campus also contains a main hall, sports center with a fitness gym and sports hall, a Business and Enterprise Centre, two large ICT suites, an art department, and Design Technology department. The English department occupies a separate building called Banklands, while the music department is located in a building with multiple classrooms. St Joseph's Catholic High School is part of the Mater Christi Multi Academy Trust and still falls under the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lancaster.
