Avanti Grange Secondary School

Avanti Grange Secondary School is an exceptionally positive community where pupils behave impeccably, value one another and benefit from a rich, ambitious curriculum. Inspectors found all key judgements to be outstanding in this first inspection since the school opened in 2022. Pupils achieve very highly from their starting points, and staff use expert teaching and strong checks on learning to make sure pupils get help when they need it. The school's personal development and well-being offer is a particular strength. Pupils take part in a wide range of trips, leadership opportunities, charity work and clubs, and they value the support they receive for mental health, including through yoga and meditation. Careers advice and PSHE are closely linked to the school's philosophy, ethics and safeguarding curriculum, helping pupils become confident and articulate. Leaders accurately identify and support pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, including in the specially resourced provision for pupils with autism and speech, language and communication needs. The school is part of the Avanti Trust and currently has pupils in Years 7 to 9. Safeguarding arrangements are effective, and staff, pupils and parents are highly supportive of the school's values.
