Wonder Star School is a small special school that opened in September 2025 and is receiving its first standard inspection. It caters primarily for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs and autism, all of whom have EHC plans. Despite the school's newness and the significant gaps in pupils' prior learning, pupils are achieving well from their starting points. They attend more regularly, grow in confidence and develop better communication and independence. Safeguarding standards are met, and the school has a calm, caring and supportive culture where pupils behave well and bullying is rare.
