Our Lady and St Edward's Catholic Primary School is performing well, having recently been inspected for the first time in 12 years, after previously receiving an 'Outstanding' grade. The overall effectiveness has been rated as 'Good', with noticeable strengths in the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management. Pupils demonstrate positive relationships with staff and peers and are keen learners who feel safe in the school environment. There are significant improvements in the curriculum under the current leadership, with a strong emphasis on reading and support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). However, the school is facing challenges such as inconsistent application of the behaviour policy by some staff and gaps in pupils' retention of knowledge, indicating areas that require further attention to ensure all students excel consistently.
