Horwich Parish CofE Primary School continues to demonstrate solid performance, maintaining its status as a good school since the last inspection in November 2016. Pupils express feelings of safety, a love for reading, and enjoyment of the diverse and engaging curriculum. High expectations from teachers contribute significantly to pupils’ readiness for the next stages in their education, and the integration of the school’s values throughout the curriculum fosters a strong sense of pride among students. However, the school faces challenges with a few curricular areas that lack sufficient ambition, particularly for some pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
