Pupils love attending, feel safe in warm and trusting relationships with staff, and benefit from a highly ambitious curriculum that builds securely from the early years onwards. Teaching is highly skilled, reading is a top priority, and pupils with SEND are identified and supported well so that they can access the same learning as their peers. Behaviour is exemplary, attendance is high, and pupils achieve exceptionally well across the curriculum. Personal development is a central strength. Pupils have exceptional opportunities to broaden their horizons through an extensive extra-curricular offer and learn about tolerance, diversity and other faiths. Staff are proud to work at the school and value the professional development and consideration given to their well-being and workload. Governors are highly skilled and provide insightful challenge and support. Safeguarding arrangements are effective. The school is part of The Ivory Federation, with three schools each having its own governing body. Published data for the most recent Year 6 cohort does not fully reflect the school’s current effectiveness because those pupils did not have enough time to benefit from curriculum improvements.
