Winklebury Junior School continues to perform well, maintaining its 'good' status in this recent inspection. The school has established a supportive and engaging environment where pupils feel valued, safe, and are motivated to achieve. Pupils demonstrate a strong rapport with teachers, and the curriculum is designed thoughtfully, particularly in reading and mathematics, where pupils excel and enjoy their lessons. Additional extracurricular activities contribute to pupils' personal development and interests, making their experience at the school positive. However, there are areas for improvement, notably in ensuring that assessment practices are effectively used to challenge all pupils appropriately and to support better retention of knowledge across foundation subjects. While pupils with special educational needs receive tailored support, leaders need to ensure that teaching consistently builds on prior knowledge to deepen understanding. The school has shown continuous commitment to enhancing educational quality since its last inspection.
