Cosgrove Village Primary School has provided a safe and caring environment since its last inspection, where pupils are generally happy and engaged. However, the recent ungraded inspection indicates that some areas, particularly the early years provision, have seen a decline in effectiveness. Staff know the pupils well and provide excellent support for those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), ensuring that they can thrive in their learning. Despite this, the consistency in teaching phonics and assessment routines in science and foundation subjects needs attention to maintain the school's previously strong standards.
