Inspectors found strong standards in attendance and behaviour and in personal development and wellbeing, with a calm, respectful culture, excellent behaviour, high attendance and rare persistent absence. Pupils enjoy learning, feel safe and are well supported to become active, kind citizens. Safeguarding standards are met. Achievement, curriculum and teaching, early years, inclusion and leadership and governance are all at the expected standard. The broad, well-sequenced curriculum builds knowledge progressively, reading and mathematics are prioritised, and disadvantaged pupils and pupils with SEND are included and supported. Governors and leaders know the school well, staff feel valued, and parents are overwhelmingly positive. The main area for improvement is that teaching is not consistently adapted precisely enough for some pupils, including those with SEND, and staff should make better use of checks on what pupils know to adjust their teaching so all pupils achieve well. The school has a Jewish religious character and a below-average proportion of pupils eligible for free school meals and with SEND.
