Peninim

This was a material change inspection, commissioned by the Department for Education, to assess whether Peninim is likely to meet the independent school standards if it changes premises and increases its maximum pupil numbers. Inspectors found that the school is likely to meet the relevant standards if the change is approved. The school's leadership and management are sufficient, with thorough checks on continued compliance and clear plans to accommodate more pupils. Safeguarding is robust, with suitable policies, supervision and record-keeping. Health, safety, fire and first-aid arrangements are appropriate, and risk assessments for the proposed new site are suitable. Recruitment checks and the single central record meet requirements. The premises, including toilets, medical room, lighting, acoustics and outdoor space, are suitable across both sites, and leaders have planned appropriately for early years provision with the proposed increase in numbers. No concerns or weaknesses were identified in this inspection.
