Meynell Community Primary School has undergone significant improvements since its last inspection and is now rated as good overall. Pupils feel emotionally and physically safe in a nurturing environment where they engage actively in their learning. The leadership team has implemented a robust curriculum aimed at developing deep knowledge among students, and there is strong support for pupils with SEND. Attendance is improving, and behaviour management has transformed positively, with effective systems in place to address any incidents swiftly. The school has strong early years provision that builds a solid foundation for pupils and fosters their independence, confidence, and resilience. However, inconsistencies in the implementation of the curriculum and standalone extra-curricular activities indicate areas needing refinement to ensure all pupils have equitable opportunities to build on their prior knowledge and experiences. Leaders are aware of these challenges and are actively working on strategies to align activities with the curriculum more effectively.
