Supreme Start Ltd, a special school focusing on pupils with autism, has been identified as needing urgent improvement across multiple areas. This marks the school's first standard inspection since its registration in 2024. The inspection revealed significant concerns regarding safeguarding practices, where the lack of a positive safeguarding culture has put students at risk. Furthermore, the curriculum has been poorly designed, leading to inadequate educational outcomes and a failure to meet the complex needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The leadership and governance have faced challenges, including a history of instability and ineffective management. Although interim leaders have begun to identify issues and implement changes, their efforts are still in early stages and have not yet resulted in tangible improvements. Overall, there is a pressing need for robust action to rectify the identified deficiencies and ensure a safe, effective learning environment for all pupils.
