Firwood Manor Preparatory School requires improvement overall, with particular concerns in leadership, teaching, and outcomes for pupils. While there is good quality teaching in the early years, the inconsistency in teaching and assessment across the school leads to variable progress for many pupils. This is especially true for the most able and those with special educational needs. Leadership has not utilized monitoring effectively to enhance teaching collaboration or outcomes for students, though they demonstrate a clear commitment to fostering pupils' personal development and welfare, which is rated as good.
