Hythe Primary School is performing well overall, achieving a good rating across all key areas. The school fosters a caring and inclusive environment, ensuring that all pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), feel welcomed and valued. The leadership team has worked diligently to raise aspirations and develop a broad curriculum that promotes a love of learning and personal development among students. The effective behaviour management strategies and opportunities for leadership and responsibility contribute positively to the pupils' school experience. Despite the overall positive performance, there are notable areas for improvement, particularly in the consistency of phonics teaching and the organisation of the curriculum in certain subjects. While many pupils articulate their learning effectively, some gaps in knowledge need to be addressed to ensure fluency in reading and a coherent progression throughout the curriculum. The school's previous inspection identified areas for improvement, and this current assessment reflects a positive shift in quality while highlighting the need for continued development in specific curriculum planning.
