Inspectors found Rickmansworth Park Junior Mixed and Infant School to be performing exceptionally well across every judged area. This was a graded section 5 inspection of a maintained primary school for pupils aged 4 to 11, and because of current inspection arrangements no overall effectiveness grade was issued. The previous inspection grade was Good, but current evidence shows very high expectations are consistently met and often exceeded, including national test outcomes at the end of Year 6 in 2024 that were in the top few percent nationally. Pupils are happy, safe and well cared for, and behaviour is exemplary. The curriculum is highly ambitious and well planned, teaching is expert, and reading is a particular strength, with targeted phonics and personalised support helping pupils catch up quickly. Early years provision is excellent, pupils with SEND are identified diligently and achieve well, and enrichment activities are open to all, including disadvantaged pupils. Leadership is strong and supportive, governors know the school well, and families and the local community are closely involved. Safeguarding arrangements are effective. No areas for improvement were identified in the report. The school’s culture of respect, inclusion and high achievement is deeply embedded, and pupils are very well prepared for the transition to secondary education.
