St Andrew’s Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School is currently in a phase of improvement, having recently undergone a change in leadership with a new headteacher starting in September 2023. While pupils display good behaviour and positive attitudes towards their learning, the school has significant areas that require attention. Despite a strong safeguarding culture and effective support for pupils with special educational needs, the overall quality of education is deemed to require improvement, largely due to persistent gaps in knowledge from prior learning, especially in phonics and mathematics.
