Scarborough, Overdale Community Primary School continues to demonstrate good performance since its last inspection in December 2018. The school has established a warm, safe environment where pupils embody the values of respect, responsibility, and resilience. The new leadership team, having started in September 2023, is setting high ambitions for academic achievement and overall pupil development. While there is notable satisfaction among parents regarding the school's atmosphere and care, there are challenges related to the recent academic outcomes in key stages 1 and 2, prompting leaders to address these developments in core subjects further.
