St Andrew’s CofE Primary School continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to providing a nurturing and ambitious environment for its pupils. The school has maintained its 'good' status since its last inspection in June 2017. Leaders have implemented a well-structured curriculum that not only encourages academic success but also fosters values of wisdom, grace, and hope among students. Parents express confidence in the school's ability to keep their children safe and to help them grow into confident individuals with a solid understanding of the world around them. Despite these strengths, there are areas that need improvement, particularly concerning the reading skills of some pupils in key stage 2. Leaders have acknowledged that a consistent and systematic approach to phonics instruction is lacking, which affects the reading progression of weaker readers. The school is aware of these challenges and is focused on addressing them to ensure all students can achieve their potential in literacy.
